Anna Burns

To pinpoint exactly what I find appealing in Anna Burns' work is difficult. For one, the piece of blurb in her about section 'Her ideas are informed and inspired by a combination of fine art studies and some early years working on magazines as a fashion stylist and fashion assistant.' (emphasis added by me) certainly sells her ideas.
A lot of her work seems to have a real presence of the hand of the author and craft, which I really like. The strange mechanical sculptures are also ideas I'm quite drawn to. In terms of creating movement (something I've not experimented a lot with, but am nonetheless interested in) this could produce something quite exciting.

Plus all that stuff with old 80's electronics is pretty fun and, due to the second-hand nature of a lot of my projects, is something that could compliment what is created quite well.
