This one feeds heavily from my work with Louis Village last year;
"This piece is designed to celebrate the production methods behind the project as much as it is to create an atmospheric video. Bare wires, circuit boards and speaker cones will be used as much for their aesthetic value as for their function. Although the machine itself may not end up being the main focus of the video, it should have presence in the visuals.
Part of the outcome will be an interactive sound and light installation. As light passes around the room, a music piece split into separate tracks will react by raising the volume of individual parts. 'Mood' could be added to the installation too, in the form of certain elements reacting to certain colours of light.
I believe this approach will be particularly sympathetic with the work of set designer Hanna Al Sayed. The appearance of post-industrial elements in her work partially inspired the writing of this treatment. As to how the installation is interacted with, having lights move in reaction to a models' movements, or using shadows to play with light could work very well. The piece could also follow a set of 'movements', using different coloured lights to implement this."
Using technology I began playing with for my second year FMP, I plan to see how it can be applied to a fashion video piece.
